Tickets can be acquired from the in-bus ticket machines. Prepaid tickets are also available in OASTH stores as well as in 1200 accredited stores throughout the city (e.g. kiosks selling newspapers). If you but a prepaid ticket, you have to check it into the bus's ticket machine.
A special "Cultural Route" (Bus No 50) has been launched to make the rich historical and cultural heritage of Thessaloniki easier accessible to its citizens and visitors.

Taxi Fares Explanation
In case the taxi driver did not start his meter, ask him to do so.
Tariff 1 is the "day rate" used from 5:00 AM to 12:00 midnight.
Tariff 2 is the "night rate" used from 12:00 midnight to 5:00 AM.
Tariff 1 is also used within the limits of the town or the city where the taxi is registered and tariff 2 is used outside that zone.The tarrif No 1 or 2 should be clearly visible on the meter.
